Playlosophy

Meet Coach Drew! Coach Drew is dedicated to providing a safe environment where kids can learn about sports, have fun, and gain something positive from playing games throughout this school year. As a coach, Drew aims to help students build confidence while teaching them the importance of sportsmanship and respect both on and off the field.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Coach Drew is a former Airman of the United States Air Force who has always dreamed of becoming a coach. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and going on hikes with his dog, Mack!

   Kimochis

We understand that our work at the school is much more than giving our students academic skills. We work with our students using the Kimochis program to develop their social and emotional intelligence as they learn to navigate their feelings.

Reading Partners

Reading Partners is a program that harnesses the power of volunteer reading partners to provide individualized reading support for students encountering reading challenges. Their mission is to extend a helping hand to these students by engaging dedicated volunteers in one-on-one tutoring sessions, forming a bridge towards enhanced literacy and academic success.

Science from Scientists

Science from Scientists specializes in hands-on, minds-on STEM learning for 3rd- through 8th graders, with the goal to measurably improve the attitudes and aptitudes of students in STEM.

 Girl Scouts

Russo/McEntee partners with Girl Scouts to provide our female students in grade 2nd-5th with a 12 week program. Activities included in the program include a 90 minute learning session once a week and 2 field trips. The girls will work on building strong relationships and connection with each other, practice community problem solving skills, and build on their health and wellness.

 

Think Together

Russo McEntee Academy partners with Think Together to provide before and after school care for all grade levels.  Think Together provides our students with a safe and fun learning environment.  The students are provided opportunity to complete their homework and engage in fun learning activities everyday.

 

Sprout Up

Sprout Up-Santa Clara University Chapter is a non-profit educational organization under the Environmental Volunteers dedicated to providing lessons on sustainability and the Earth to 1st and 2nd graders in local underprivileged elementary schools.
